Another Garden Season Down

What a great experience this years gardening season has been.  Most of the tomatoes were voleenters from last year and well we still only got one zucchini.  Even if it was 17 inches long lol We tried our hand at melons this year and the field mice got to them before they were big enough for us to enjoy.  Although I did pick a softball size watermelon and share it with the family before they carried it away.

We got 2 hot peppers and alot of cucumbers.  The really liked the heat this summer.

The best part was watching Macy go out with me every morning and watch for the sunflower to grow.  It really did and she was beautiful.  Thank you Carol for the few seed that you gave us so we could watch this magniacent flower do its thing.

Dad wants the yard back so we will be ripping up the remains of the garden in the next week.  I cut the sunflower down today.  During a wind storm she turned down and never really got to flurish in the sun.  So I cut the head off and flipped it over and it is still full of seeds!  Hundreds of them.  So next year there will be alot of sunflowers :0)

It wont let me post the picture but I will get with Darla and get that posted :0)

Thank you Garden
