Pecan Pie

I receive many requests for my Pecan Pie Recipe.  I have used this recipe for many years and found it to be the best.  It is really quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Melted Butter
  • 1 Cup Corn Light Syrup
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 3 Brown Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cup Pecans
  • Love

Heat oven to 375.  Prepare pastry.  Beat eggs, butter, corn syrup, salt and eggs.  Stir in pecans.  Add love.   Pour into pastry shell.

Bake until set, 40 - 50 minutes.

Crust

One 9 in pie crust

  • 1/3 Cup Plus 1 Tablespoon Crisco Chilled
  • 1 Cup King Arthur Unbleached Flour Chilled
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 - 3 Tablespoons Very Cold Cater
  • Love

Cut Crisco into flour and salt until particles are size of small peas.  Sprinkle in water - one tablespoon at a time.  Very lightly fold water into flour mixture just until all flour is moistened.  Add love.

Gather pastry into a ball, shape into flattened round on lightly floured board.  (Tip, I use wax paper and roll the dough between the wax paper that is lightly floured.)

Good luck and enjoy!
