Week Two of Liberty Stix
It is now week two of my effort to quit smoking with Liberty Stix and it is going VERY WELL!
I purchased a total of 4 cartridges when I purchased the Liberty Stix. After one week, I have one and a half cartridges left. These were the tobacco flavored cartridges in the lowest nicotine level.
The tobacco flavored cartridges don't taste anything like tobacco. To me they taste more like what I would imagine the vanilla should or would taste like. The cartridges come in several flavors: Tobacco, Mint, Cherry, Chocolate, Coffee and Vanilla. Each flavor comes in 4 "strength" options with respect to their nicotine levels: High, Medium, Light and Zero.
My goal is to be nicotine-free. So Carol was out running errands today and I asked her to pick up some additional cartridges for me. Each cartridge is $2.50 and they are sold in packs of 2 for $5.00 at the Smoke Stop in Huber Heights on Brandt Pike. I wanted to give the Vanilla and Cherry a try. But the shop only had those flavors in High strength. Since I'm working on eliminating nicotine and I started with Low strength, those cartridges wouldn't work. So I was left to purchase more of the tobacco flavored cartridges, this time in both light and zero nicotine strengths.
I'm really anxious to see how the no nicotine cartridges work for me. Considering a cartridge of low nicotine strength is lasting me 3 days, I'm speculating that I'm using the Liberty Stix more to have something to do with my hands and mouth than for nicotine. If the zero nicotine cartridges work out then I'll stick with them. I'll let you know how it goes.
I'm not particularly interested in weaning myself off of the Liberty Stix. If there is nothing to it but water vapor then what difference does it make if I hold it in my hand and puff on it occasionally? Of course it costs a bit of money to purchase the cartridges and a little bit of money to charge the battery, but I figure I'm worth it. I can tell you without any doubt that the Liberty Stix has made quitting smoking completely painless for me and I continue to highly recommend it if you want to stop smoking or want an alternative to smoking when you will be in a situation where you can't smoke for an extended period of time. Unless you are a masochist, why suffer if you don't have to?
