What Do You Get The Person Who Has Everything?

I have some ideas.

I ask myself this question regularly. My wife is the hardest person to buy for. Why you ask? Well, she pretty much can go out and get anything that she really wants. She will say something like, "that would be a great birthday present" and then when it goes on sale, she buys it for herself.

So here are some of the things I have done to surprise her on different occasions. Please feel free to use these ideas.

Make her a birthday video. Does this sound hard? Well not when you contact her friends from all over the place and have them send you videos. Nobody needs a video camera anymore. Almost every cell phone or tablet has video capture and the video can be easily emailed or even texted to you. And you can load the various videos you've received into iMovie, or a similar application and combine them into a single video.  My wife is still talking about this one.

I highly recommend you invest in a Pandora bracelet for your hard-to-buy-for-person. There is a Pandora charm for everything.  I challenge you not to find a charm that reminds you of something you've done together.  And if you can't manage to find a suitable charm at a local jewelry store, or better yet, a jewelry store where you are traveling, have a special charm made. I use Soufeel to have custom charms made and I highly recommend them.  Here's a charm I recently had made. It's a heart shape with a picture from our wedding on it.

Shutterfly has become my go to gift giving place. I can have picture books made and delivered quickly to our door. These days we keep all of our pictures in digital format, often directly on our cell phone or tablet. People love to look at and share pictures. You can make a picture book right from your phone. How easy is that? She loves the books I've made for her and she shares them with everyone.

You can also get creative with sticky notes on the bathroom window while she's in the shower. Little hearts that say something funny or romantic or anything else you might want it to say make a great impression and keep her smiling all day long.

Her favorite gift thus far has been a bracelet I got her from Wanderer Bracelets. It is a bracelet that has the GPS Coordinates to our front door.  So if she ever loses her way she can always find her way home. I obscured the coordinates in the image here for safety reasons. This bracelet is wonderful and she really loves it.

Do you have someone like this in your life?
