Apple Cherry Cobbler

This is a quick and easy apple cherry cobbler.  Simple steps with great results every time. Ingredients:

  • 7 to 8 Large Tart Organic Apples Peeled, Cored, and Sliced (I use 1 Quart and 1 Pint Home Canned Apples)
  • 1 Can Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1/2 Cup Organic Sugar (Florida Crystals)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 Cups King Arthur Unbleached White Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Organic Sugar (Florida Crystals)
  • 1/2 Cup Organic Brown Sugar (Florida Crystals)
  • 2 Organic Eggs
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Melted Butter
  • 1/c Cup Chopped Walnuts (Optional)
  • Mini Cinnamon Chips (Optional)
  • Love

Heat oven to 350°F. Place sliced apples in ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.   Mix together 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in small bowl.  Sprinkle mixture over apples.   Spread cherry pie filling over apples.

Combine remaining cinnamon, flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder and salt in large bowl.   Mix together in bowl until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Add nuts and mini cinnamon chips, if desired.  Sprinkle over apples and cherries.   Pour melted butter over topping.  Add love.   Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned and apples are tender.   Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
