An Interview with Penny Collins by Penny Collins

My good friend Gina asked me to tell a few things about myself and she chose to interview herself and I thought I would do the same.  Thanks G! Penny: All right, tell me a little about yourself.

Penny: Well, I've lived in Ohio all my life, lived in several different city's, and I am photographer!

Penny: How long have you been taking pictures?

Penny: Since I was old enough to pick up a camera.  I was notorious for stealing moms camera and taking pictures every chance I could.

Penny: Okay, I get it. What did you used to take pictures of?

Penny: I took alot of pictures of my dad and my sisters.  They were my favorite subjects.

Penny: When did you get your first camera?

Penny: I got my first camera for my sixteenth birthday.  It was a Pentax K1000.

Penny: What is your favorite stuff to photograph now?

Penny: Great Question....I photography children and family's everyday but my passion is reflections.  I see reflections everywhere, in water, a shinny car, a piece of glass, really I can see them anywhere.

Penny: What is your favorite style of photography?

Penny:  I love black and white photography.  It shows true emotions and your not detracted by bright colors.  Don't get me wrong I like color photos but there is a time for that as well.

Penny: What else do you like besides photography?

Penny: I like  Reading, of course. I love to travel and sing karaoke.

Penny: If you could have your dream photography job what would it be?

Penny: That is an easy question....I would love to be taking pictures for Sports Illustrated. Taking pictures of woman's college basketball during the winter months, Pro Baseball in the spring, and the photograph for national geographic.  Love animals :0)

Penny: Anything else you want to say before we close?

Penny: Here are a few things about me that people might not know:

I prefer camera over hanging out with humans.

I love kids...The age group between 2-7 are my favorite.  Most people think I am crazy but they seem to like me too!

I could literally eat Mexican food every day and be happy for the rest of my life.

I suffer from never knowing a stranger.....I cant stand there to be that dull silence that happens in the elevator.  I stick a convo with people all the time.  I think deep down inside I am afraid of quiet.

I’m not a night person, all my friend are but come 9:30 - 10:00 I am so ready to go to bed.  Maybe not go to sleep but start winding down.

Ansel Adams is my favorite photographer.  His landscapes are AMAZING!

Penny: Thanks for spending a little time with me this evening!

I need to thank my friend Gina for asking me to do a blog about seven things people may not know about me. This was a lot of fun! Here's the small print:

1. Thank and link the person who nominated you (which I already did).

2. Share seven random facts about yourself.

3. Pass the award on to five new-found blogging buddies.

4. Contact the winners to congratulate them.
