Kids can't talk.......

So I have been watching my 13 year old niece send 100 text messages while we are having family dinner. I am guilty of texting during dinner also. However when asked do you ever talk to each other the answer is at school. Her mother laughed. She started telling the story of my niece talking to her bf (just can't get my head around her having a boyfriend) on the phone and they we just listening to each other breath. Neither of them were talking to each other....for over an hour. It has gotten that bad that they don't know how to talk to another person. This generation is starting relationships (I know they are 13 but really) and they don't talk.Talking is key in any relationship, whether it is boy girl, girl girl, boy boy, or a mix of all the above. I encourage everyone to look around and see what I am talking about. You even see it at the malls, football games....
