Squash and zucchini....gourds.......

It seems that the soil at my fathers is really good for squash. We have taken 8 of them out of the garden.....tonights potluck we made a stir fry with it and the zucchini that we got out of the garden earlier in the week. We did add a few yellow and red peppers and some onion because there weren't any from our garden.It was a hit!!!!! We have lots of little green tomatoes as well in the garden....I can tell that one of the batches is romas but we will have to see what the rest become.... We are going to have a freaking bazinga load of gourds this season as well. I have done a bit of research of course more to follow but you can actually reshape gourds by tying strings around them as they grow....I may try this on a few. However we will be making ALOT of bird houses for sure! Looks like corn isn't going to make....dad and I were out there tonight and a lot of the leaves are really brown and falling over...don't think it was bugs I think it is from where we put it I the garden...next year we will put it on an end. We may get a few ears out of it...I'll keep you posted. No picture tonight...to lazy to upload...lol If you haven't started a garden you should and if you have a garden spend time in it....we do! GPG
