I'm done with Social Media

After Elon Musk bought twitter, that was the final nail in the coffin of my participation in social media. I had already walked away from Facebook following their complicity in allowing the Russian GRU to elect Trump.

So now what?

I’ve grown accustomed to having a platform to share my thoughts. I still have a LinkedIn account because it has managed to maintain respectability. LinkedIn is for business. Not all thoughts I wish to share are about business. I’ve had this blog running forEVER. But thanks to social media, never really posted. And making a blog post comes with all this extra crap that social media posts don’t. Like tags and categories and featured image and excerpt and SEO.

But does it have to?

I mean, can’t I just make a quick blog post and publish it and move on?

I never chased the like on twitter or facebook. I wasn’t looking for ENGAGEMENT. I just wanted to get my thoughts out of my head and into the world.

So, this blog is now resuscitated.

Don’t expect pretty.

And I don’t care if you read it or not.

I don’t care if you like it or not.

I don’t care if you share it or not.

I don’t care if you comment or not.
